Turkish Diagnostics Association joins EDMA
Tanı-IVD becomes 50th member of the European trade association
EDMA, the European Diagnostic Manufacturers Association welcomes a new National Association Member: Tanı-IVD, which represents the Turkish In Vitro testing sector. This affiliation brings EDMA’s overall membership up to 50 members with 29 major corporations and 21 country organisations.
Tanı-IVD was set up on 2 February 2007 to represent the In Vitro diagnostic industry active in Turkey. On this occasion, the Charter of the Association was signed by 13 IVD companies including 7 local companies and 6 major international corporations which were already direct corporate members of EDMA.
With the adhesion of Tanı-IVD, EDMA reaches 50 members representing everyday a larger part of the IVD sector throughout Europe. On this occasion, EDMA takes the opportunity to thank all its members for the years of daily involvement, and commits itself to keep up standing up for the European Industry in the forthcoming years.
EDMA is looking forward to a fruitful cooperation with Tanı-IVD to promote In Vitro testing, prevention, early diagnosis and monitoring of treatments, access to innovation, and high quality healthcare across Europe and particularly in Turkey.
Background:
EDMA, the European Diagnostic Manufacturers Association represents National Associations and major companies engaged in the research, development, manufacture or distribution of In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) medical devices in Europe. Through its affiliated National Associations, EDMA represents in total more than 500 companies (or over 700 legal entities) across Europe. The mission of EDMA is to raise awareness of the importance, usefulness and added-value that diagnostic information can provide to healthcare.
