DADIF je nový národním členem EDMA
DADIF Becomes EDMA New National Association Member
EDMA, the European Diagnostic Manufacturers Association welcomes the Danish organisation DADIF as new member from January 2008, which will bring EDMA EDMA’s membership total to 22 National Associations and 33 Corporate members.
Established in 1979, DADIF aims at safeguarding the interests of its members with a view to professional skill and line of business towards authorities and organizations, both in Denmark as abroad. The Association is additionally committed to work healthy and purposeful business principles within the line of business.
As of 1 January 2008, DADIF will count 72 members. Steen Grove-Rasmussen, of Radiometer Danmark, has been head of DADIF since 2004.
EDMA looks forward to cooperating with DADIF, its new Member, in order to meet the challenge of promoting the value of laboratory testing in healthcare, showcasing the essential contribution that numerous IVD technologies can offer to prevention policies and disease management, and creating objective sources of information on laboratory testing available to theEuropean citizens in general.
EDMA encourages the formation of trade associations to represent the In Vitro Diagnostic industry across Europe, as well as their integration into the European organisation.
Background:
EDMA, the European Diagnostic Manufacturers Association represents National Associations and major companies engaged in the research, development, manufacture or distribution of In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) medical devices in Europe. Through its affiliated National Associations, EDMA represents in total more than 500 companies (or over 700 legal entities) across Europe. The mission of EDMA is to raise awareness of the importance, usefulness and added-value that diagnostic information can provide to healthcare. For this purpose, EDMA cooperates with European institutions, patients groups, trade associations, health professionals and academia to support an appropriate regulatory system, to work towards a realistic economic environment for healthcare in Europe and to be an effective voice in globalisation.
